Time certainly flies when you’re having fun. Latham Smith was founded in 2014, and what a ride it has been!
During that time, we’ve grown steadily and established ourselves as a trusted, independent lettings specialist, working with landlords across Rickmansworth, Croxley Green, Watford, Chorleywood and the surrounding areas.
We are incredibly proud to have been awarded the British Property Awards GOLD award for Best Letting Agency in WD3 multiple times, and we have even won the Regional Award for Best Agent too. Each time we win an award, I reflect on the care and effort we put into looking after both our landlords and our tenants.
I genuinely love my job. I enjoy working with both people and property, and after nearly 25 years working in lettings in Hertfordshire, I still get a real buzz from helping landlords successfully manage their homes and during that time, I’ve seen almost every situation that can arise in lettings — which means very little surprises us anymore!
Helping landlords navigate the ever-increasing compliance requirements thrown at us by government, while still ensuring their homes are properly looked after, is a big part of what we do. At the same time, we always want our tenants to receive the quality of service and care they deserve.
As a Fellow of ARLA Propertymark, I specialise in the compliance and legislative side of lettings. This means our landlords know their properties are being managed correctly, legally and with the highest professional standards.
In simple terms, we take care of the complicated parts so you don’t have to.

My journey in property began in 1993 when I quite literally fell into a role as a trainee Lettings Negotiator. What started by chance quickly became a career I was passionate about, and more than 30 years later it’s safe to say that property is firmly in my blood.
I began working for a London-based independent agency and quickly progressed through the ranks. Within a few years, I was managing the company’s flagship office in Ealing Broadway, gaining invaluable experience in lettings, property management and client relationships.
In 2005, I relocated to Hertfordshire where I became Lettings Manager for a multi-award-winning independent agency. During this time, I built a highly successful and forward-thinking team by embedding strong values, high standards and a client-first approach.
As a Member of ARLA Propertymark, I have developed extensive expertise in property valuations, advising investors on purchases, and guiding landlords through every aspect of the lettings process.
In December 2015, Rochelle and I founded Latham Smith with a clear vision: to build an independent lettings and property management business that offers something truly special. Since then, we have grown a trusted and highly regarded company built on knowledge, compliance, creativity and above all, trust.
Our approach has earned us the Gold Award from The British Property Awards six times in the past seven years, something we are incredibly proud of as a business.
Over the course of my career, I’ve been fortunate to receive many recognitions, but personally being voted Best Lettings Manager in the UK by the Sunday Times Awards remains a standout achievement.
Property has always been about people as much as it is about bricks and mortar. Being able to combine the two makes my work genuinely rewarding. I’m incredibly proud to provide a bespoke service for every client, helping Latham Smith stand out from the crowd.
